Har fra 1995 drevet en liten Hypokonderklinikk som en seksjon av Medisinsk Poliklinikk, Haraldsplass Diakonale Sykehus. Wilhelmsen har skrevet bøkene ”Hypokondri og kognitiv terapi” PAX Forlag AS 1997, ”Livet er et usikkert prosjekt” PAX Forlag 2000, ”Sjef i eget liv – en bok om kognitiv terapi” Hertervig Forlag 2004 og ”Kongen anbefaler – holdninger for folket” Hertervig Forlag 2006. Medlem av Academy of Cognitive Therapy.
BIRTE MELSEN, DDS, Dr. Odont.
Professor Melsen received her dental degree in 1964 and became a certified orthodontist in 1971. In 1974, she finished her odontological doctorate and from 1975, she has been Professor and Head at the Department of Orthodontics, School of Dentistry, Aarhus University. From 1986, she has been working part-time in private practice in Lübeck, Germany (Adult Orthodontics only). In 2000, she received the Knighthood of Dannebrog 1st degree, 2000.
Professor Melsen has authored more than 330 publications in the fields of growth and development studied on human autopsy material, bone biology and clinical studies by means of the implant method. She is the honorary member of many orthodontic societies and has received numerous awards and honorary degrees within and outside Europe. During the last years, her special interest is in the fields of skeletal anchorage, virtual imaging, adult orthodontics and stem cells. She is lecturing all over the world, but specially in south America where she is actively involved in fundraising for street children.
